This week one of the largest nationally organized demonstrations took place since the 1960′s and though their title is to “Defend Education,” these organizations are working to do anything but. It is true that honest and accurate American history has been eroding in our schools for decades driven by liberal and progressive teachers with their own agendas for some time. Very important events in history and the teaching of the vital importance of the U.S. Constitution is all but gone from our student’s curriculum.
Why is that? Is the founding document of our strong nation not important? Is our freedoms and rights as citizens granted by God no longer important?
Many radical and socialist organizations would have us believe that in their attempt to transform this free society into a global, socialist, or progressive one. Over the past year it has become obvious that the clear majority of Americans do not favor socialized government policies like health care or Cap and Trade. The Progressives in Washington and radical organizations cannot convince the American people of these policies so their next aggressive target has become our children.
From elementary to college, the National Day of Action to Defend Education, though seemingly benign, is the aggressive attempt to hijack the real frustration of school budget cuts and organize a socialist and progressive movement against capitalism, America, and the Constitution. This is well proven by the long list of socialist, progressive, and radical organizations and unions that sponsored these events all across the country.

Some of these groups who are wickedly radical and have been around since the 1960′s look to use the same dangerous tactics to accomplish their agendas. Ask yourself, why would radical socialist groups be interested in school budget cuts? What do the words “Resist – Mobilize – Transform,” like in their poster, have to do with trying to keep schools funded?
For many of us who studied history, be it students or adults, there is a clear connection to other socialist and communist movements of the past and their posters with the “Defend Education” posters and flyers.

It is clear that California and other states have problems with their budgets, however, it is not a problem caused by ‘citizens, capitalism, or corporations against education’ as has been inaccurately portrayed to our kids by these radical organizations and unions. It IS the radical organizations, special interests, and unions who are the problem in California as well as many other states. If this were not true, then why don’t any of the groups who organized these events ever discuss cutting government spending? And if your children are not educated properly of true and accurate history and the incredible opportunity of freedom found in America, then what kind of a nation will take its place?
