The Keyboard Militia blog was launched with the goal of reporting and covering news that major media refused to report or report accurately. The birth of the Tea Parties in early 2009 have been a perfect example of this. Since the liberal media, progressive organizations, and some in the local, state, and federal government continue to attempt to quash news unfavorable to their goals, we will continue to report and educate on the people and organizations who are actively working to “transform” our proud nation into a shadow of what it is, the shining light of freedom in the world.
What is the "keyboard militia?"
Since the launching of the Keyboard Militia blog there has been some confusion on the perceived affiliation of this blog, therefore I will better clarify my personal thoughts behind the name "Keyboard Militia." This blog is not affiliated or associated with any particular militia group, though we defend the rights to organize one as we defend all of our U.S. Constitutional rights granted to us by God above. During the American Revolution militia groups were organized by "The People" in order to defend their land and their freedom from enemies "foreign and domestic." Since The People had various skillsets, (the butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker), it is citizens like these that used their God-given talents in conjunction with militia groups to fight off the British and defend freedom. With the birth of the Tea Parties in early 2009, I saw a similar volunteering, organizing, and defending of freedom. Ordinary citizens, in similar actions to their American Revolutionary forefathers, began to take a similar stand and put their God-given talents to work in defending our U.S. Constitutional freedoms. In this digital age, the mighty pen has been replaced by the keyboard, be it on computers or smartphones, it is the most widely used instrument of free speech…now the world over. Blogs are the modern day pamphleteers. Though this blog is named Keyboard Militia, in some ways all of us who work and write in order to defend freedom from overbearing governments are all members of the keyboard militia.
