I am writing this post to let those of you who have followed me through the years know that I will be ‘moving’ so to speak. Instead of writing on The P/Oed Patriot all the time I will be posting most of my articles on a new website. I have realized over the past year that in order to reach more people, while cutting down on my stress, I was going to need help. So I have asked three of my fellow bloggers to join me and between us we came up with The Bell News.

While I will still be covering my usual topics like Communism, Unions etc; my fellow writers on The Bell News will be bringing their skills, and areas of expertise, to help you learn more than I could ever hope to share with you alone.

I whole heartily appreciate you, my readers, and the loyalty you have given me over the years. So I hope you will follow me over to The Bell News.

Because the fight for Liberty… never ends.

2nd Amendment: What The Progressives Don’t Understand

I have tried my best to keep from joining the fray that has ensued due to the tragic school shooting several days ago mainly because I do not believe in taking a tragedy and spinning it into political ammo in order to push an agenda.

But sadly the progressive left doesn’t share the same good taste. So in response to the attacks on what I consider the essential right which protects my Liberty, I feel compelled to write this.

One of the great shames that has continued to take place over the past 30 or so years is that generations of Americans have been taught that we, as a nation, are nothing special. That the United States is not unique in the modern world and therefore we deserve no special consideration as it pertains to how our laws are written. There has been a constant push from those on the left that we should, “Be like Europe”. From the concepts of National Health Care to gun ownership.. the progressives believe we should just fall in line with the rest of the world.

Well if you are a believer in these progressive ideals then I’m afraid you are going to be disappointed in this post.. because sorry to tell you, but you’re wrong.

The United States is entirely unique in the modern world because the founders drafted a document which was to create a government that was based on the belief every individual is sovereign. That every individual is born with ‘natural rights’ endowed by his creator. That these rights can not be removed by any form of Government or law created by man. No country in the history of the modern world has ever been founded on this concept which makes this nation absolutely unique. An acceptance of these facts are essential to understanding why the current tragedy should have no bearing on your right to gun ownership since it is comparing apples to oranges. One has nothing to do with the other because while one was a crime committed by a madman, the other is a right that pertains to your Liberty.

If you read the founders thoughts on natural rights you will notice that many, if not all, the rights they discuss are ones you bring into this world with you… I.E. Life, Liberty and the desire to Pursue Happiness. But there are other ‘rights’ which they included as Amendments to the Constitution which were meant to protect those natural rights. The 2nd Amendment being the most important, in my humble opinion, because it is the last line of defense for your Liberties.

The 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with hunting or even with protecting your family from crime. It, instead, is all about defending your Liberty from a tyrannical government. The founders understood from their own experience that without the proper tools (Firearms are tools) they could not defend themselves from the tyrannical King. So in order to help future generations protect their Liberty it was essential that Americans be gun owners. Because if a populace is unarmed and a government isn’t, then short of throwing rocks, the populace will have nothing in which to defend themselves against tyranny.

It is not only your right as an American to own a firearm, it is your duty. Because a “Well Regulated Militia” is not the Federal Army or even the National Guard. It is you, your neighbors, your town and your state.

Knowing all of this Thomas Jefferson wrote:

“When governments fear the people, there is Liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves from tyranny in government. “

And I’m pretty sure a government isn’t going to be afraid of a populace armed with rocks and sticks or even just shot guns and revolvers, do you?

So when Progressives push for more gun control they are not actually trying to make you safer from crime but make you more susceptible to tyranny from the government.

Which ironically…. works in their favor.

Communist Party Celebrates Obama’s Reelection

Sam Webb’s article on People’s World

Many people on the left are happy today about Obama’s re-election and that seems to include the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) leader, Sam Webb.

In an article posted on the CPUSA news, People’s World, Sam Webb talks about how the victory for Obama is a victory for democracy:

“After a long and bitterly contested battle, the forces of inclusive democracy came out on top yesterday. The better angels of the American people spread their wings, as they went to the polls.

An African-American president was re-elected to the office of the Presidency, the Democrats unexpectedly strengthened their hand in the Senate and House, and victories, including big ones for marriage equality, were registered at the state level.”

But Sam Webb sees this “victory” as something even more substantial, a sign that the country is leaning more his way:

“Moreover, the balance of forces – that is, the ground on which people fight going forward – has shifted in a progressive direction.”

While I disagree with Sam Webb’s conclusions about the big Progressive shift being the reason for Obama’s victory…it is hard to discount one thing…

A man was just re-elected as President of the United States who has appointed known Communists to Government positions and his campaign was supported and endorsed by the Communist Party USA who is a known enemy to the ideals of Liberty.

If that isn’t the most insane thing you have ever seen in your life… then I’ll eat my tricorn hat.

Communist Party USA Chair: "We Can Set In Motion Progressive Agenda Coming Out Of 2012 Election. (If It Goes Our Way)"

Sam Web, the Communist Party USA (CPUSA ) Chairman, said to a gathering of local Communists in Arizona last year that if the 2012 election goes their way, (The re-election of President Obama) that they will have the possibility of setting the ‘Progressive’ Agenda. (Starts around the 2:00 Mark.)

Lisa Fithian admitted to a group of Occupiers that the reason she believes in non-violent protest is because there are so many guns in the U.S. and if they tried to violently over throw the country they would get slaughtered. (comment starts around the 1:50 mark)

So in essence what she is saying is that if the Progressive left could win a violent revolution she would be for it.

Ironically this is the same view of the Southern California Communist Party.

Liberty? Republican Transportation Bill To Allow Real Time Data Collection From Your Car

It’s long past the time when the American people need to wake up to the fact that both political parties are out to destroy their Liberty, one just happens to do it faster than the other.

For example, both Republican President Bush and Democratic President Obama have done their best to fund and expand the Green technology (aka Smart Grid) that will allow the Gov/Utility to track your activities in your own home from whats in your trash to your Internet use and even your ice cube production.

As disturbing as that is… lately it has become worse…

How?

Well the Republicans have recently decided to once again destroy your right to privacy… but this time they are trying to do it in their “Constitutionally Correct” Transportation bill (The bill lists the sections of the Constitution that makes it ‘Constitutional’.)

Republican Representative John Mica (FL) introduced a bill called the “American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs Act of 2012″, aka H.R. 7, earlier this year. That same bill had the support of the GOP leadership as recently as March 21st. (remember this little fact as you read my article.)

On the surface, the bill seems to be a quasi ‘Green’ bill that was created in order to attempt to get Democrats on board. It included an “Infrastructure Bank”, like Obama’s ‘Jobs” bill, and other ‘Green’ initiatives but one thing in particular jumped out at me. Sections 7014 through 7020 all have something to do with installing a National “Intelligent Transportation System.”

What is an Intelligent Transportation system?

Well Intel, the company who makes the computer processors, made this video about Intelligent Transportation Systems:

After watching this slightly disturbing video (Notice the camera in the cabin of the vehicle and how it’s tracking your location etc.) I went to the Department of Transportation’s website to learn more about Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)…. and what I found will (or won’t) surprise you.

According to page 30 in a government document titled “Real-Time Data Capture and Management Evaluation and Performance Measures“ on the Department of Transportation (DOT) website, ITS will collect Real Time Data (Just like the Smart Grid) from your personal vehicle such as it’s location, speed, number of occupants and even info from your ‘mobile devices’:

“The following describes the logic model for a regional data environment:

• Situation: In the current situation, FHWA needs test data sets and data environments to support Multi-Modal Real-Time Traveler Information, which is a high priority application under the Dynamic Mobility Applications Program. The research community is assembling test data sets to support this effort. A DCM Program data manager needs to evaluate the test data sets to determine their suitability to support the targeted application and meet specific research objectives.

• Inputs: The test data set will be assembled from multiple sources and modes. Infrastructure data sources will include data from in-pavement or roadside speed, volume, or occupancy sensors; control systems (e.g., traffic signal controller, ramp meters, dynamic message signs); transit facility data (data from bus and rail stops, fixed guideways, etc.); and weather, work zone, and incident road closure data. Vehicle data sources will include private vehicles and transit vehicles. Traveler data sources will include transit passengers and travelers with mobile devices.”

Now I know some of you are going to say, “Well it says ‘Test Data’ so they may not be collecting that info all the time.”

Think again…

According to the DOT website under “Real-Time Data Capture and Management Program Vision: Objectives, Core Concepts and Projected Outcomes” it states:

“Several concurrent technological trends have the potential to reshape the traditional infrastructure-based, passive acquisition data paradigm. First, vehicles and hand-held devices are increasingly capable of systematically collecting and communicating a broad range of probe data. Probe data inherently describe the motion and state of mobile entities in the system (as opposed to data describing entities passing fixed locations). Vehicles capable of acting as probes span the full range of light vehicles, roadway and rail transit vehicles, and freight carriers. Second, modern wireless communication technology permits an active exchange of data with and between vehicles, travelers, roadside devices, and system operators. An active paradigm allows for a systematic yet dynamic and selective exchange of vehicle status and traveler behavior data. This is inherently different than the uniform capture of vehicle location and speed data generated through passive detection. Integrating probe data sources with traditional infrastructure-based data sources into multi-source data streams may enhance the capability of current forms of system control or significantly reduce their costs. Multi-source data streams may also enable nontraditional, transformative forms of system control and management. These transformative forms of management may have the potential to increase system productivity and traveler mobility significantly while concurrently reducing environmental and safety impacts.

The U.S. DOT ITS JPO is engaged in assessing the potential of the multi-source, active-acquisition data paradigm to enhance current operational practices and transform future surface transportation systems management. This research is a collaborative initiative spanning the Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office , Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Transit Administration , and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). One foundational element of connected vehicle research is the Real-Time Data Capture and Management Program. Program objectives include:

Enable systematic data capture from vehicles, mobile devices, and infrastructure;

Develop data environments that enable the integration of data from multiple sources for use in transportation management and performance measurement;

Reduce costs of data management and eliminate technical and institutional barriers to the capture, management, and sharing of data

The Real-Time Data Capture and Management Program plays a key role supporting other connected vehicle initiatives identified in strategic plans in the areas of Safety, Mobility, and Environment. Many of these initiatives will require systematic capture and management of data over time to realize their objectives.”

I know your asking yourself, “How is the Federal Government going to be allowed to collect all of this personal information about you in real time?”

The answer is two fold.

First, according to the DOT’s page titled “Real-Time Data Capture and Management Program: Transforming the Federal Role” , is to give the Federal Government a strong role in the influencing and facilitating of enhanced data capture and management:

“The Real-Time Data Capture and Management Program seeks transformational change in the capture and management of data from surface transportation systems data. In particular, the program seeks to exploit potential opportunities in flexible and dynamic data communication between vehicles, infrastructure-based technologies, and mobile devices (i.e., transition from passive to active data capture). In addition the program wishes to explore transformational change enabled by providing travelers and decision-makers with a rich set of integrated data obtained in concert from the full complement of fixed and mobile entities in the transportation system (i.e., transition from single-source to multi-source data capture and management). In order to achieve these objectives, however, the program must also transform the mechanisms that allow researchers, public sector agencies, the private sector, and other interested parties controlled access to utilize and share data resources. The program envisions a strong federal role in influencing and facilitating enhanced data capture and management practices. This includes identifying and developing mechanisms to achieve program goals, in addition to fostering deployments and implementations consistent with the program’s vision.

The Real-Time Data Capture and Management Program, following the tenet “collect once, preserve, use many times,” supports the development of the broadest possible collection of applications and fully leverages federal research investment. This entails a move beyond traditional “collect, use once and neglect” data capture and management. For the Real-Time Data Capture and Management Program, this implies reconsidering all aspects of how public sector agencies (including the federal government) procures, acquires, captures, stores, manages, and shares data.”

Second part of the answer is in the Republican Transportation bill part (b) of Section 7016 where it says that the Federal Government will “expedite” and work with private corporations to ensure this technology is not only developed in cites and all over the country but installed in your car:

(b) Purposes- The Secretary shall implement activities under the intelligent system transportation program to, at a minimum–

`(1) expedite, in both metropolitan and rural areas, deployment and integration of intelligent transportation systems for consumers of passenger and freight transportation;
`(2) ensure that Federal, State, and local transportation officials have adequate knowledge of intelligent transportation systems for consideration in the transportation planning process;
`(3) improve regional cooperation and operations planning for effective intelligent transportation system deployment;
`(4) promote the innovative use of private resources;
`(5) facilitate, in cooperation with the motor vehicle industry, the introduction of vehicle-based safety enhancing systems;
`(6) support the application of intelligent transportation systems that increase the safety and efficiency of commercial motor vehicle operations;
`(7) develop a workforce capable of developing, operating, and maintaining intelligent transportation systems; and
`(8) provide continuing support for operations and maintenance of intelligent transportation systems.’.

So if we combined the data that will be collected through the Smart Grid and the data that will be collected through the Intelligent Transportation System we end up with a United States where the Government will know everything it’s citizens do 24 hours a day 7 days a week in Real Time no matter if they are at home, work or even driving around in their car. All thanks to the that ugly two headed monster…

A Great Man Died Today… Andrew Breitbart

It is shocking news today that Andrew Breitbart died last night from a massive heart attack.

My condolences go out to his family and friends for the loss and to the blogging community as well. Andrew was not only an inspiration for many bloggers but gave many a hand up by having them write on one of his “Big” websites.

While I can not claim Andrew as a close friend, I did have the pleasure of meeting him several times and having a long conversation with him at the Smart Girl Politics Summit last year in St. Louis. (Above picture is of Andrew speaking at the Summit.)

It was after the Summit and many of us attended a reception in the lounge on the top floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The room had large windows all around which created a beautiful panoramic view of the city. I was sitting alone staring out the window when suddenly Andrew came over and sat next to me. Now I had only just met him in the lobby (for the first time) as he arrived before the Summit so it surprised me that he would come over and sit down to strike up a conversation.

At first I talked to him about some of the Communist events I have covered and at one point he asked if I would write an article for one of his “big” websites describing my experience at a recent Communist award ceremony held in a union hall. I told him I would be happy to but unfortunately I never got around to writing it (something I regret now).

Eventually we began talking about his son, his home, how much he traveled and I was taken aback at how down to earth Andrew was, he was just like any other guy you would hang out with at a backyard BBQ. He was funny, intelligent and had the normal concerns just like everybody else.

But one concern he had over all others that day demonstrates, to me, what kind of man and father he was. Andrew asked me if I knew of anywhere that he could take his son the next morning ( his son came with him to St. Louis) so that they could go do something together that wasn’t ‘political’. After going through the usual list (Arch, Zoo, art Museum, etc) I finally suggested he might enjoy the famously haunted Lemp Mansion. Andrew seemed to like the idea and while I was invited to go, I couldn’t (can’t remember why) but some of my good friends like Dana and Chris Loesch, Jen and others were able to attend and had a great time.

But the fact that ‘THE’ Andrew Breitbart was more concerned with doing something memorable with his son rather than talking about politics, or himself, or making public appearances or anything else spoke volumes to me that day about his character and compassion as a human being and a father.

I will always remember Andrew not only as the New Media Icon he was, but as the caring human being and father that I was blessed enough to personally get to know.

Rest in Piece Andrew… You Will Be Missed..

Obama Campaign Fear Mongering: Warns of Tea Party "Extremism"

President Obama’s group, Obama for America, is trying to use the threat of “Tea Party Extremism” in order to help raise money for his re-election. (You would think they would have come up with a new play book by now):

In just about 24 hours, Mitt Romney is headed to a hotel ballroom to give a speech sponsored by Americans for Prosperity, a front group founded and funded by the Koch brothers.

Those are the same Koch brothers whose business model is to make millions by jacking up prices at the pump, and who have bankrolled Tea Party extremism and committed $200 million to try to destroy President Obama before Election Day.

So in the hours before Romney courts two men obsessed with making Barack Obama a one-term president, let’s see how many of us can chip in $3 or more to the Two-Term Fund.

This number will update every five minutes to show how many people give in the 24 hours until Romney greets the Kochs:

Congressman Rangel Praises Communist Party USA Leader Who : "Made Profound Theoretical Contributions To The Class and Democratic Struggles In The US."

In an earlier article I exposed how Democratic Congressman Danny K Davis was to be the keynote speaker at a Communist Party USA event, but it would appear that he is not the only Democrat that openly supports the Communist Party.

During the recent 100th Anniversary celebration for the former Communist Party USA (CPUSA) Leader Henry Winston , letters of support were read to the crowd, including one from Democratic Congressman Charlie Rangel.

In the letter, Rangel expressed his regret for not being able to attend and praised the “profound theoretical contributions to the class and Democratic struggles in the United States” by the Communist Leader:

“Thank you for inviting me to the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Henry Winston. While I would very much like to join you I deeply regret I can not.

The public deserves to know the significant part of black and American history that is Henry Winston. His mission, to ensure equal rights and civil rights for African-Americans long preceded the emergence of racial equality with the current mainstream American political thought. Winston made profound theoretical contributions to the class and Democratic struggles in the United States.

During his life and career, he emphasised the struggle of minorities to obtain and secure civil and economic rights. His contribution to the fight against racism and exploitation have been more than beneficial to our lives and the lives of generations to come.

Ironically the only “profound theories” about “class and the Democratic struggle in the United States” that a CPUSA Leader can “contribute” are, of course, the theories of Communism.

So it would seem that as the United States continues to fall into the depths of extreme progressivism, the line between Democrat and Communist no longer exist since the heros of those who see the ruling class, the United States and the free market as their enemy, are now openly those of the ‘Democrat Party’.

Democratic Congressman Is Keynote Speaker At Communist Party USA Event Meant To Slam Tea Party

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) was founded by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in Chicago of 1919 in order to, according to their own secret documents given to New York University:

“form “FIGHTING ORGANIZATIONS FOR SEIZING CONTROL OF THE STATE, for the overthrow of government and the establishment of the workers’ dictatorship.”

But with the destruction of the USSR in 1991, the CPUSA has been forced to change it’s appearance from one of a secretive society bent on the internal destruction of the United States to one that is more Politically Correct and bent on the internal destruction of the United States.

Today, the modern CPUSA claims to peacefully fight for equality for all workers while wanting to replace Capitalism with Socialism. The claim of being peaceful seems to fly in the face of the facts that the CPUSA’s youth group, The Young Communist League (YCL) , lists the ruling class as their enemy and have a local branch that supports violent revolution, only if it can be successful and if it leads to a Democratic, just society.

Knowing all of this about the CPUSA, who would want to associate with them?

A Democratic Congressman of course…

According to a posting on the CPUSA news, People’ World, Congressman Danny K Davis, Representative of the 7th district in Illinois, is the keynote speaker at a CPUSA event this Sunday called:

“Tea party” Congress can’t stop the fight for equality!”

Judging by the title, this is an event meant to bash the Tea Party, but ironically it’s being listed as “Celebrating African American History Month 2012″. (I think the odds favor the words ‘Racist’ and ‘Tea Party’ being used extensively at this event.)

All three organizations sponsoring the event are connected to the CPUSA and the event is going to be held at the “Unity Center” in Chicago. The Unity Center is better known as the Haymarket Club aka Young Communist League headquarters.

While it may be surprising that a member of Congress would associate with the CPUSA, it’s not surprising that it’s Congressman Davis. According to Key Wiki, Congressman Davis is an openly Socialist member of Congress and has attended many fundraisers and award ceremonies for the CPUSA in the past.

But what may be truly disturbing is that this openly Socialist Politician and known supporter of the CPUSA actually has a seat in the Committee on Homeland Security. According to the CHS website, “The Committee was chartered to hold hearings and craft legislation for issues specific to homeland security.” (I get daily visits by the DHS on my website, get listed as a threat in a DHS report as a Tea Party member and Congressman Davis has security clearance enough to sit on the CHS Committee and craft legislation? Anyone see something wrong here?)

So why is this a problem?…(As if you don’t already know.)

Allow me to explain..

What we have here is an openly Socialist member of Congress who has agreed to be the keynote speaker at a Communist Party USA event meant to bash the Tea Party being held at the YCL headquarters (Both organizations with documented histories of wanting to overthrow the U.S. Government), who also happens to have a seat on the Homeland Security Committee.

If that one sentence doesn’t throw into sharp perspective what is wrong with this country… then I don’t know what does.

I’m Back, Well Not Really.

I just wanted to let my readers know that I am back, sort of.

While on my long break I decided that I am going to use the over 3 years of research material that I have collected and pool it into a fictional novel. (Depending on the result of the first book I hope to make it a series of 3.)

Unfortunately while writing this novel(s) I will not have the time to blog in the manner I was before since most of my off time will now be spent in the planning, researching and writing of the book(s). This does not mean I will not be blogging, but my posts will no longer be on a regular daily / hourly basis.

I will do my best to keep you informed on those subjects I find are important, but if you relied on me for daily news and video then I strongly suggest you follow The Gateway Pundit or any of the other blogs I have on my Blog Roll.

I want to Thank You for being patient and understanding during this time and Thank You for your continued readership.
