Freedom Stories

Since the recent media coverage of Arizona’s burst of criminal acts done by illegal aliens crossing over the border from Mexico, radical, liberal and Progressive groups, along with much of the media, have been trying to label those who wish to enforce established immigration laws as racists. They continue this rhetoric despite the increased support of immigration laws by a majority of people, both in Arizona and around the country. The United States was born of immigrants and through “legal and controlled immigration,” the U.S. has been able to grow to the strong nation it is today.

However, today we are faced with dangerous economic times and our government programs are bloated and on the verge of collapse. Despite the looming bankruptcy in a number of states, those in support of “open borders” are more interested in flooding the population with voters who are looking for government handouts than preserving the “American dream” of self empowerment.

Those who are in support of immigration laws can no more be racists than those who have immigrated here legally from Germany, Russia, Ethiopia, China, and every other country on the face of the Earth. With the exception of Native Americans, We are ALL Immigrants. In many ways, sad as it has become, it is immigrants who sometimes know our nation’s history better than many U.S. born citizens. It is immigrants who remind us why America is special and with no doorway or gate to help protect our freedoms, America will be special no more.

Some of you reading this article may be or know someone who has immigrated to the U.S. for any number of reasons; to flee from a corrupt or controlling government, escape rampant crime, dictators, slavery, or what have you. Maybe you have just came to the U.S. to build your own dream in a free market, a good job, or your own piece of land. If any of this sounds like you or someone you know, YOU ARE THE SILENT MAJORITY.

If you are willing to share your story of how and why you chose to come to America, or what you have learned from someone who has, we would like to hear from you.

Many times the media or radical groups gather up a handful of people with sad stories trying to promote only the bad side of America without promoting all the good America has done. We know that there are more success stories about immigration to America than are being heard so that is why we want, we need to hear from you. The American Dream is alive and well and we need your help in telling that story.

Please email your story in a Microsoft Word or text document (or a video link like Youtube) to: roadtofreedom22 @ yahoo.com

We are working on building a collection of the stories of immigrants who have come to United States in search of the “American Dream.” You do not need to sign your name unless you wish, but your words would greatly be appreciated in our country’s challenging times. Thank-you in advance and thanking for helping to make America a better place with you in it.

We would also like to build a list of videographers who would be available to help support this project. If you’d like to be added to the list, please contact us with your geographic area and a link or email address to our email address above. Thank-you for your support.
